Never back down!!
Job titleAssistant Manager and Patient Coordinator
My day-to-day task listMy day begins early, overseeing the cleaning of my cage. This is followed by BREAKFAST! which is followed by second breakfast shared with those patients that didn't finish their overnight meals. Next I help admit patients for the day, specializing in keeping all dogs, big and small in line. After morning tea I assist with unpacking the order and then spend the rest of the day greeting clients and getting my beauty rest. Occasionally I have to have a firm word with the nurses about real estate when they try to put patients into MY cage.
My favourite thingsFOOD!! Boxes and MY cage , I love my cage and its MINE! I also adore little humans and not just because they're more likely to drop food.
My naughtiest habitBreaking open and sampling any food bags that aren't at least 1m off the floor. The humans don't seem to appreciate me ensuring good quality control of all the products we sell.
What do my clients think of me?Naturally that I'm beautiful and friendly. Some people also seem to think that I'm pregnant or need to work out more but I don't see them scaling the cages or the towel shelves every day.
Other things you should know about me
When I first came to the Uralla Clinic I wasn't in a good way. I'd gone exploring and come home completely unable to use my back legs. I had no movement and no deep pain, and radiographs were inconclusive. My owners weren't sure they could cope with my special needs but no one wanted to see me go as the rest of me was so happy, so I just never left! Despite still having a few toileting issues ( but that's what slaves . . . I'm mean staff are for) I improved enough that I can now walk, run and climb. I do walk a bit wobbly and my muscle tone is not the best but that's never stopped me!
