Mickey 12 years
Bexley Vet Hospital, NSW
The Bexley Bachelor
Job titleFeline Resources Manager/The Bexley Bachelor/Handsome Devil
My day-to-day task listAppropriate distribution of liver treats, greeting our fantastic clients, overseeing payments, keeping our younger clinic cats in check, looking for love on feline tinder - swipe right for Mickey!
My favourite thingsLiver treats, roo chews, stealing food from hospital patient bowls, stealing food from boarders bowls, getting into cat carry cages when my nurses are attempting to discharge a patient (I get yelled at for this), pressing extra zeros on the eftpos machine for client payments (I get yelled at this for too) and looking for love.
My naughtiest habitSpooning with Moe (the eternal bachelor still has needs) and occasionally frightening clients as I like to jump up on the reception desk unannounced. I also sleep there and some clients think I am a statue - Boo! I open client food orders too so that my minions get fed (got to keep the troops happy)
What do my clients think of me?They tell me I'm handsome, they love my bow-tie which makes me look very debonair and dapper. They marvel at how calm and relaxed I am around all the dogs and cats that come in to the clinic.
Other things you should know about me
I've been at Bexley Vet Hospital my entire life. I was born here around 13 years ago. It gets tough being the elder statesman that I am, but I take it all in my stride. Being in charge so long has made it hard to find the time for love, but I won't lose hope as there's someone for everyone as they saying goes. I'm lucky to meet lots of possible contenders on a daily basis, but if all else fails my 2IC Moe is happy to let me have a little spoon. Pop in and say hi with your feline fur friends so I can ask them the question every bachelor wants to know - Will You Accept This Rose...?(or liver treat)
