Dingley Veterinary Clinic, VIC
The Cat's Pyjamas
Job titleAssistant Practice Manager
My day-to-day task listOn a daily basis I greet clients and patients at reception (tolerating lots of pats and cuddles), I keep a watchful eye over the staff to make sure they are up to scratch, clean myself to ensure a high quality of appearances, sit in on staff meetings, assist the nurses on their lunch breaks by always offering assistance to complete their meals and I have been known to use myself as a paper weight for the nurses when they create a pile of reminders.
My favourite thingsMy favourite things in life are food (preferably tuna and sardines - but i'm not picky), cardboard boxes, shopping bags, any chair that is in the middle desk location of the office (love to be the center of attention) and my floor blanket in the office. Oh yeah - & snoozing in a patch of afternoon sun is simply pawesome!
My naughtiest habitI have been known to break into bags of food that are on the sale shelves and help myself to snacks throughout the day.
What do my clients think of me?I am adored by all who meet me, so much so, that if I am not at reception the nursing staff are constantly asked where I am and if they can bring me out for a visit.
Other things you should know about me
I was found in the rain on the side of the Mornington Peninsula Freeway eleven long years ago by one of our lovely and caring nurses. Luckily, I kept all of my nine lives that day and didn’t need any treatment (beyond TLC) when I was found.
Dingley Veterinary Clinic originally had intentions of trying to re-home me but because all the team fell in love with me, and decided to keep me.
I'm well known for visiting the waiting room for a smooch every now and again (when I can pull myself away from a relaxing spot in the sun!).
