Selwood House Vet Hospital , NSW
Job titleEmployee of the month (every month).
My day-to-day task listSharpening my nails on the staffroom couch, checking on hospital patients and keeping other cats carriers warm while they are recieving treatment. Once every few weeks, I also like to taste test bags of food that have been ordered in especially for our clients. I'm sure they done mind!
My favourite thingsMy favourite things include food, snacks, breakfast, dinner and treats. I also love to be held like a baby by my staff while they are on the phone so I can play with the cord.
My naughtiest habitEven though I've been told off more than 100 times for doing so, I like to sit right behind the swinging doors that lead to the treatment and surgery rooms. This means I am always in the way and my staff even fall over me from time to time. It also makes it extra fun when they are trying to bring dog patients through as the majority of them are VERY interested in me!
What do my clients think of me?My clients always say "Oh! Isn't he gorgeous!" and then usually something about my legs but I don't listen to that because I am too busy soaking up the pats and compliments.
Other things you should know about me
I came to Selwood House Vet Hospital because I injured by spine and could no longer use my legs. The lovely vet said something about "potentially permanent paraplegia" and so I decided to live at the clinic with the dedicated and sometimes overly loving staff! I don't let my floppy legs get in the way of having a good time though! I can still get around just fine and I've even started being able to use them a bit when I really want to. I can use a litter tray and also jump onto the staffroom couch if I really try. I don't need pity, just some snacks and chin scratches.
