Macquarie Vet Clinic Windsor, NSW
“Time spent with a cat is never wasted”
Job titleOfficial Observer, Head of Welcoming Committee.
My day-to-day task listI start my day with breakfast, fishy foods only please, I don’t like anything else. Then I venture outside, waiting for other staff to arrive so I can run down the drive to greet them with a big loud "meow". Throughout the day I spend my time playing outside, checking in on our hospital patients and sleeping on the reception counter. I also like to keep the staff company when they are working at the desk. Any paper work being done, keyboard being used or book being read and I help by sitting right in the middle of it. Of an afternoon I like a game of kitty soccer with balls of paper which I bat all around the clinic. At the end of a long day of playing, helping and socialising I get put to bed with a yummy dinner and a good night cuddle.
My favourite thingsI LOVE chin scratches and head pats. I also love sleeping on the pile of freshly washed blankets and hiding in amongst them. I will never say no to a liver treat or a game with a ball of paper.
My naughtiest habitHiding out in patients transport cages and scaring the staff as they walk past. Meowing loudly at the door to be let in/out, just to change my mind once the door opens.
What do my clients think of me?Our clients love me and I love them, that’s why I’m often found in reception waiting for my pats as people come in.
Other things you should know about me
I have lived at the clinic for over 10 years. My brothers and sisters and I were left at the clinic gates when we were four weeks old. My siblings all got homes with other people, so when I was the only one left, the nice vet said I could stay and I have lived here ever since.
