Kilmore Veterinary Practice, VIC
Not shabby for a tabby
Job titleChief Executive Meowfficer
My clinic dutiesMy clinic duties include greeting staff warmly each morning before supervising the most important job in the clinic; refilling of food and changing of the litter tray. My day consists of supervising all patients being admitted, testing the surgery heating mat is up to full functionality and acting as warden to the morning cattery checks. This takes up a lot of energy, so I will break for a good 5-6hours of nap time before doing the afternoon rounds of helping with the washing and ensuring my food bowl is filled before my security night shift begins.
My favourite thingsPlaying fetch with my red fish toy, eating catnip grass, chasing bugs and climbing in to garbage bags filled with shredded paper. I am also partial to the occasional spot of cheese, a fresh glass of water and a warm lap.
My naughtiest habitClimbing in to garbage bags filled with shredded paper and biting holes in food bags left in my vicinity. My human co-workers would probably add that I get a bit too familiar with the more anxious patients but I promise I’m only trying to help.
What makes me an important part of the team?Clinic life can be stressful for my human co-workers so I keep a calm, cool and collected approach to all aspects of my life (just don't attempt to take my blood). Pats and scratches and sitting in front of the computer screen are specialities of mine to let them know I care, but I know when to head off for a nap and let my human co-workers do their job.
Other things you should know about me
I came from humble beginnings; left with my sister in a hessian bag by the bus stop. My sister was happily rehomed whilst I took up residence at the clinic getting all the love and attention I could want (apparently my blood type is of special importance).
My name is a palindrome
Don't be fooled by my indifferent expression. I am judging you. But with love.
