Sheldon 4 years
Palmerston Veterinary Hospital, NT
Rock, Paper, Scissors, Lizard, Spock.
My clinic dutiesNight watchman, Quality control officer, Interior designer and Stray creche' manager.
My favourite thingsPlaying with dogs and clients especially children, sunbathing, playing with tails under the consult room doors, eating food that doesn't belong to me.
My naughtiest habitTaste testing expensive brands of foods then pooing them on the floor overnight creating a blind obstacle course for the nurses in the morning when the lights are off. Got to keep them girls on their feet.
What makes me an important part of the team?Sheldon provides the team and clients with both mental and emotional support. This industry can be tough, as we all know, but having a clinic pet that you can cuddle and de-stress with makes all of difference. He knows when someone is sad and knows exactly what they need. Whether it be running having a "kitten"moment, allowing us to dress him up for a giggle, or just cuddle him, Sheldon just knows what we need. He is a beautiful distraction. Hes good for the soul.
Other things you should know about me
To the tune of the Big Bang Theory;
The whole hospital was in a very lonely state,
When nearly 3 years ago a lonely kitten cried, WAIT!
Our hearts began to fill and the treats began to spill.
This is definetely not a drill,
He's breaking hearts, (he's breaking packaging)!
Staff, clients, mysteries, we're unsure about his history.
And in the end we called him Sheldon, HEY!
