VIC & TAS Territory Representative
Lisa started working with us at Dermcare as our VIC, SA & TAS Territory Representative in March 2018. Lisa has been involved in a wide range of animal care & management since first working in the industry in 2007 & becoming a qualified veterinary nurse in 2009, working in both small animal practices as well as emergency hospitals in Sydney and Melbourne. Her special interests include dermatology, emergency and critical care, surgical nursing and animal training & behaviour.
Alongside her veterinary nursing, Lisa has also completed a Certificate III in Captive Animal Management at Taronga Zoo in Sydney, where she worked as a Zookeeper working with marine mammals, primates, ungulates, big cats and the veterinary team at the Taronga wildlife hospital. Her special interest in marine mammals led her to Florida in 2015, where she spent 4 weeks at the Dolphin Research Centre and 2 weeks in Mexico, learning all about marine mammal behaviour and training. Lisa also remains an active volunteer for ORRCA (Organisation for the Rescue and Research of Cetaceans Australia), having completed their marine mammal stranding rescue course.
Through the National Dog Trainers Federation, Lisa completed her Certificate III in Dog Training & Behaviour and has extensive experience in dog training and running puppy training classes. In her spare time Lisa loves getting away to the coast or countryside where she enjoys camping, hiking and exploring nature. At home she has a naughty ginger and white cat called Yoda.
