Jess started out studying Finance and Economics at university, but her love for animals eventually won out and she followed her heart into veterinary nursing—a move she’s never regretted.
After 17 years working in general practice on the Gold Coast, she joined the Dermcare team in 2023, bringing loads of clinical know-how and a genuinely caring approach to her role as Territory Representative. Covering South East Queensland, Northern New South Wales, and Perth, Jess works closely with clinics across the region, offering support that’s grounded in real-world experience. Having spent years in practice herself, she understands the day-to-day challenges and is always ready to help.
Dermatology has always been a natural interest for Jess, especially living in a hot and humid climate where skin issues and allergies are common. She’s seen firsthand how much these conditions can affect pets and their families, and she’s passionate about helping clinics deliver top-notch care with the right products and advice.
Outside of work, Jess’s life is full of action thanks to her three energetic human children. When she’s not on the road visiting clinics or playing ‘mum taxi’, she loves trying to catch fish with the kids, paddle boarding, and the rare quiet nights at home. She’s also a hopeful (but not overly successful) plant mum, often found chatting to her houseplants in the hope they’ll thrive despite her efforts.
After losing her much-loved Bulldog, “Olive”, Jess couldn’t resist adopting a stray kitten. “Trevor” now runs the household with cuddles, chaos, and plenty of personality.
