Kylie is a Registered Veterinary Nurse with 20 years of experience, and holds a Diploma in Veterinary Nursing (Surgery). Having worked in General practice as well as specialist and emergency centres in Sydney, she has nursed patients with all kinds of varying conditions from trauma to poisonings, tick paralysis, snake bites, neurological cases, and orthopaedics.

For Kylie, being passionate about animal welfare and wanting to actively help animals recover from illnesses or injuries was one of the factors that lead to a career in animal care. For her, one of the best parts of being a veterinary nurse is ensuring her patients are comfortable and happy. In her role at Dermcare Kylie enjoys visiting vet clinics and talking to the clinic staff to learn, and to share information and knowledge.

Over the years Kylie has had many pets, from dogs, cats and birds, but currently shares her home with a big fat green tree frog called Ben.

Outside of Dermcare Kylie can be found happily reading a good book, or listening to a podcast while out and about enjoying a long walk.
