The Dermcare team head to New Zealand!

Dermcare is 100% Australian owned, but our products are distributed in countries all over the world. One of those countries includes New Zealand, where our products are distributed by RxVet.

Our rep team recently headed to Lake Taupo, New Zealand, to further their skills and knowledge together with the RxVet team. Three days of training and group activities flew by, and it was time to part ways and put their extended knowledge into action. Our rep team provides direct support to metro, regional and remote vet clinics all over Australia. In order to ensure the best chance of happy, healthy patients; we continuously train our team, who are then able to train your local veterinary clinic staff.

Come and check us out at WA AVA!

WA Territory Representative Emma Vickers with our Clinic Cat of the Year winner and WA local- Oliver!

Heading along to the WA AVA conference this weekend? Come and chat with team Emma about the latest product updates for Dermcare at stand 39. They will be there Friday and Saturday to answer any questions you might have!

And just in case you were wondering- Emma is not wearing some sort of headpiece! The Otoscope is on the wall behind her!

Dermcare at ASAVA 2016

From the 8th August until the 12th August 2016, ASAVA Conference was underway at the Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre. The ASAVA conference is an annual, national veterinary conference focussed on small animals, and was attended by vets from all around Australia!

This year, Dermcare hosted the first annual ‘Scrub Run’. Just over 30 vets braved the cool, early morning to watch the sunrise and run/ walk 2.5km or 5km in their scrub tops!

Congratulations to all who participated! We can’t wait to see those scrub tops worn in-clinic. An extra special congratulations goes out to our front runners:

5km winner: Adam Heeley

5km runner-up: Bill Perry

2.5km winner: Emily Ireland

2.5km runner-up: Victoria Bartley

We look forward to an even bigger and better ‘Scrub Run’ at FASAVA 2017!

Not only did the Dermcare team attend the conference, so did some of our pets! Team Pomeranian provided some lunchtime entertainment to the crowd, showing off their agility skills in tiny, pom-sized scrub tops! Gizmo, Yogi, Tim-Tam and Rebel were such good sports, even posing with fans after the event!

A few more Dermcare dogs volunteered their time (and some of their fur!) to help vets hone their ultrasounding skills once the conference was over! Gracie, Shelby, Ned, Missy, Hudson and Malia got lots of big cuddles and extra treats for their fantastic behaviour throughout the course! A big thanks to Liina and Toby, plus Jess and Claudia, for also giving up their time to help!

We had a great time at ASAVA 2016, and can’t wait to see lots of new and familiar faces at FASAVA 2017! Vets, be sure to check out our competition to win registration to FASAVA 2017 on the VET section of the website!

Meet two members of Team Pomeranian!

Meet Yogi and Gizmo. They are part of Team Pomeranian, and two of the faces of Dermcare. Team Pomeranian live with one of the Dermcare team, our clinical nurse Jacki, and are some of the best trained pomeranians in Australia.

If you have picked up an Aloveen brochure from your local veterinary clinic, you may have gotten to know Yogi! Yesterday Yogi dressed up in his favourite new outfit!

Yogi, loving the cowboy lifestyle!

Yogi’s teammate, Gizmo, also tried on the new outfit. We don’t think he will be borrowing it anytime soon from his face!

Gizmo, not so impressed!

Harvey’s 10th Birthday Party!

Harvey from Flinders View Veterinary Surgery (QLD), is one of our Clinic Cat of the Year 2016 nominees. He loves his food, his heat mat, his team of vets/ vet nurses, his food and his bed! Today, Flinders View Veterinary Surgery invited friends, family and clients to come in and celebrate Harvey’s 10th Birthday!

Harvey was adopted by Dr Andrew many years ago, and has travelled down to Tasmania and back. He has been a resident, and hard working team member, of the clinic since it opened in 2012- and is very loved by the team and clients alike!

There was chicken and salmon for Harvey, and lots of delicious human food for his guests! Harvey had a couple of friends to help him blow out the candles on his cake, and to support him in wearing his party hat (which he was THRILLED about)!

Sometimes, lots of people and unusual noises can be stressful for cats. However, Harvey was very well behaved at his birthday party, and even let Emma have a cuddle!

rom the whole team at Dermcare- Happy Birthday Harvey!!You can find out more about Dermcare Clinic Cat of the Year 2016 at http://dermcare.com.au/Dermcare-Clinic-Cat-of-the-Year/2016

Allpets Caboolture Animal Hospital Open Day

This Saturday, the 11th June 2016, two of the Dermcare team attended and helped out at the Allpets Caboolture Animal Hospital Open Day! The day was a great success for the team, with over 500 people attending the day (plus a few three and four legged friends)!!

The day was an opportunity for clients, pets and locals to come in and check out the brand new hospital building, which opened in January 2016. There were tours of the hospital, competitions and giveaways for those who attended!

Sara and Emma, our two QLD territory representatives were there to answers questions, give away lollies and provide hydrobaths to the pets that attended the Open Day as well! The dogs were washed in Natural Shampoo and Aloveen Intensive Conditioner was rubbed though the coat to finish. Donations collected from the hydrobath went towards the Young Diggers charity, a very worthy cause!

When the bathing was done, and the stall packed up, there was only one thing left to do- play with the baby calves!

Congratulations to Dr David, Julie and the wonderful team at Allpets Caboolture Animal Hospital for a fantastic day!

Dermcare’s Cat Cafe at the AVA National Conference

This week the Dermcare team has been in Adelaide at the AVA National Conference. Our stand is the Dermcare Cat Cafe, with plenty of cats to pat and some great barista coffee to enjoy.

Basil, our 2015 South Australian Clinic Cat of the Year winner stopped by on Monday for a visit, with everyone keen to meet him, and Basil keen to taste test the barramundi for lunch.

Many of the vets already knew of our Clinic Cat of the Year Competition, and others were thrilled to find out they can enter their own clinic cats into this prestigious competition!

Our next conference will be in August – the ASAVA Annual Conference on the Gold Coast, just down the road from Dermcare Head Office. We’ll keep you updated!
